The Master Bedroom BEFORE was a little plain Jane, lacking dimension, color and depth. We added drama and gave the space personality and staying power. Here are few tips on how we transformed the space. We eliminated the old carpet and added Italian wood tile floors with a heavy distressed finish. Honestly, they look like reclaimed wood planks at a fraction of the cost. Plus, they are easy to care for. Next we added dimension by layering fabrics and color. We handprinted a patina finish on the back wall using pewter and silver to highlight the glam dressers from Restoration Hardware. We featured a lovely area rug and timeless duvet cover, also from Restoration Hardware. Notice the oversized armoire? That is actually an Ikea piece that we painted in Dove Gray. We added the sleek hardware to finish the look. There is now tons of new storage space and no construction costs. New crown molding, elegant new lamps, handprinted iron headboard... all details that really WOW our clients.
